The Pro Max has the bigger battery and screen, which helps on long days and when you monitor on the phone. The Pro is lighter, which suits gimbal work and street interviews.

How booking and ID work

  • Verify your ID once. Every renter does this before their first booking, and it stays on your account for next time.
  • The owner confirms, you pay online and you get your pickup time.
  • Collect the kit, shoot, and bring it back at the agreed time.

Is there a deposit?

If a kit needs a deposit, the listing shows it before you pay. Many of our iPhone kits have none.

Do I need to verify my ID?

Yes. Every booking needs a verified ID. You do it once, it takes a few minutes, and it stays on your account for future bookings.

When and where do I collect?

Collect from Soho, Bethnal Green or Finsbury Park. You agree the pickup and return times when the booking is confirmed, and we share the meeting point then.

Is damage cover included?

LighRent does not sell insurance. You are responsible for the kit during your hire, so for paid shoots we recommend your own equipment or production insurance.

Does it record open gate?

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max have built-in open gate recording to internal storage. The 1TB SSD in some kits is there for long ProRes takes and fast offloads.
