What is LighRent?
LighRent is a UAE peer-to-peer marketplace for creative equipment - cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, drones, gimbals and full studio kit. Instead of buying gear you only need for the occasional shoot, you rent it from owners near you. And if you own equipment, you can list it and earn from it on the days it would otherwise sit in a cupboard.
The app brings the whole experience into one place: discovering gear, booking it, paying securely, handover, returns and payouts.
What you can do from the app
- Find the right gear. Search by name, browse by category, or explore equipment near you. The app's AI matches what you describe to the right listings.
- Book in minutes. Pick your dates, see the full price up front - the total at checkout is the total you pay - and send a request. The app can even draft a polite, personalised rental message for you with one tap.
- List your own gear. Adding a listing takes seconds: describe your item and the AI writes a clean, detailed description for you. Payouts go straight to your bank after each rental.
- Handle handover properly. Before a rental starts, both sides upload before-and-after condition photos, and a rental contract is kept on file - so there is a clear record if anything is ever disputed.
- Track every rental. A single "My Rentals" view shows everything you are lending and borrowing, through a clear six-stage flow: request, paid, verified, pick-up, return, complete.
- Get help any time. In-app support is available 24/7.
Built on verified identity
Trust is the foundation of any rental marketplace. Every renter and owner on LighRent completes identity verification - a photo ID check and a biometric face match - before they can book, and higher-value rentals carry additional checks. Combined with secured deposits, before-and-after condition photos and a contract for every booking, it means you are always dealing with real, verified people.

- Install the free TestFlight app from the App Store.
- Open lighrent.com/download and tap "Join the beta on TestFlight".
- Install LighRent and start renting or listing gear.
