The Canon EOS R6 Mark III is the third generation of Canon's R6 line, now with a 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor. It suits photographers and filmmakers who split their days between stills and video: weddings, events, portraits, corporate and documentary work, and content shoots that need both photos and an edit. For video it records 7K RAW internally at up to 60p, oversampled 4K at up to 60p and 4K at 120p for slow motion. A 7K 3:2 open gate mode at up to 30p uses the full sensor, so one take can be cropped for horizontal and vertical versions, and Canon Log 2 is there for grading. For stills there's a 40fps electronic shutter with pre-continuous shooting, 12fps mechanical, and in-body stabilisation rated at up to 8.5 stops. The thing to plan for is data: 7K RAW fills cards quickly, so allow for media and offload time, and drop to 4K when you don't need the extra resolution. It's an RF-mount body with one CFexpress Type B slot, which RAW video needs, and one UHS-II SD slot, and it runs on Canon's LP-E6P battery.
